How does the billboard ranking work?
The billboard leaderboard ranks listings by founder contributions in US dollars, separate from community voting and other ranking systems.

A paid leaderboard side by side with everything else
The billboard is a dedicated leaderboard at /leaderboards/billboard that stands alongside community votes, Launch of the Week and verification badges. Each system is marked clearly so you know what you are looking at. The billboard specifically ranks listings by money their founders have put in.
How contributions stack up
You decide how much to contribute in US dollars, with a minimum of $5. Your contributions accumulate: when you add a new amount, it joins what your listing has already received, and the board sorts by the combined total. Every listing with a contribution stays visible on the board.
Getting your listing on the billboard
To add it from your account, your listing must be live. Sign in, visit /account/listings and find your listing. Select "Upgrades and extras" and enter your contribution amount under Billboard. You will also see this option during the submission process when you first post.
Completely separate from votes and badges
A billboard contribution does not influence community votes, alter Launch of the Week, affect Domain Rating or change any other ranking on Biz Alternative. Promo codes do not lower what you contribute. The billboard ranks purely on money contributed; community votes and verification rank on other attributes entirely.
A followed link, for life
A billboard contribution puts a link to your website on /leaderboards/billboard, using your company name. It is followed, with no nofollow on it, and it stays for life, even after others overtake you. It is taken away only if the listing is taken down for breaking our rules or the contribution is refunded.

- Does a billboard contribution change my vote count?
- No. The billboard is a separate system labelled independently. Community votes, Domain Rating, verification and the billboard each rank listings by different criteria.
- Can I add to my billboard contribution later?
- Yes. New amounts you contribute add to your previous total, and the board re-sorts by your new combined sum.
- What is the lowest billboard contribution?
- The minimum is $5 in US dollars.
- Does the billboard give my website a link?
- Yes. Your company name on the full billboard is a followed link to your website, kept for life unless the listing is taken down for breaking our rules or the contribution is refunded.
