How do reviews, comments and influence work?

Writing and replying to reviews
Founders can write reviews about each other's products. To review, sign in, verify your email, and have your own live listing. You can review any product once, but not your own. Reviews need at least 80 characters and appear instantly.
Listing owners or team managers post one public response per review, which can be edited or deleted afterwards. The person who wrote the review gets notified when you reply.
Product reviews side by side
Biz Alternative lists every published Product review at /reviews, so you can read them side by side; the "Product reviews" footer link appears once there is one. Each was commissioned by the company it covers, is labelled that way and cannot be edited by it. Community verdicts remain on each company's own reviews page, and no score is averaged.
Joining the conversation
Anyone with a confirmed email address can comment on a launch or respond to other comments. Use the Report link to flag any listing, review, response or comment. When 3 people report a review or comment, it hides pending review. Reported listings are always checked by staff; they do not hide automatically.
Following and staying updated
Use the Follow button to track a company, product or founder. You'll see their announcements in your notices—control frequency and method at /account/notifications. Company announcements display on their listing and together at /updates.
Each launch includes a share page with text ready for X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Reddit, Threads, WhatsApp and email, plus a link-copy button.
Building influence
Influence is earned through participation: publishing reviews and comments, receiving votes on your launches, and returning daily. It cannot be purchased. Higher influence can strengthen your vote's weight. See your current level at /account/influence.

- Can I review my own product?
- No. You can write one review per product, but not for your own listing.
- What happens if a review gets reported multiple times?
- Reviews and comments reported by 3 different people are hidden until checked. Reported listings are always reviewed by staff but never auto-hidden.
- How do I gain influence?
- Publish reviews and comments, earn votes on your launches, and sign in regularly. Influence is earned only and cannot be bought.
- Where do I compare the Product reviews?
- At /reviews. Only commissioned Product reviews are listed; community verdicts are on each company's page.
